The type of a Dragon is a descriptive term that defines the different tiers of rarity by which Dragons are classified. There are five levels of rarity, namely Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The Common classification includes all base Dragons, all Dragons with guaranteed combinations, as well as other Bi-Elemental Dragons of which most are normally obtainable. The Uncommon classification is only attributed to Bi-Elemental Dragons of which most with this rarity are normally obtainable. The Rare classification is attributed to most limited Bi-Elemental Dragons, to Dragons used to breed the normally-obtainable Legendary Dragons, and to very few Tri-Elemental Dragons. The Epic classification includes the vast majority of Tri-Elemental Dragons. The Legendary classification includes all the Dragons (with the exception of Boss Dragons) that have the Legendary Element. While not exactly a rarity, Boss Dragons have a separate classification called the Boss rank. Rarities affect the Gold production of Dragons that generate Gold. Clan Dragons and Boss Dragons are unaffected as they do not produce Gold with Boss Dragons only speeding up the production of the other Dragons. Additionally, when it comes to breeding, the higher the rarity of a Dragon is, the more chances there are it will produce rarer offspring. Also, when it comes to being bred, the rarer the Dragon is, the longer it will typically take to be obtained.
