Requirements[edit | edit source]

The Great Egg Hunt (17.04.13) All Chests Prize.png
Players must perform various tasks to earn Heavenly Eggs Icon.png in order to navigate through each map level as each tile movement will cost a number of Heavenly Eggs. There is a certain limited amount of Heavenly Eggs that can be earned within a 6-hour period. The limit starts at 200 and increases by 100, after the next reset, every time a level is completed, starting with Level 3. Each tile step will reward the player with either Food, Gold, or Scrolls. The amount of Food and Gold rewarded depends on the Level Modifier. The total blue tile Heavenly Eggs cost of a level is distributed among the different paths inside it. Battles can be fought normally with no cost or can be won instantly in exchange for a certain cost. If a battle is lost, the player can purchase the instant win or wait 29 minutes and 5 seconds before they can attempt the battle again. Each level contains a number of chests. One of the chests will hold a Key.png and the remaining chests will each hold a Epic Card Back.png. The position of the key is random and can be obtained from any chest. Once a key is obtained, the player can advance to the next level without having to open other chests. Opening all the chests is necessary to obtain the Painted Dragon, but not to advance to a new level.

Important Icon.png Heavenly Eggs obtained from food-collecting tasks are awarded upon collection of Food, not planting; whereas those acquired from breeding tasks are awarded upon selecting the Breed Button.png button on the Breeding Den, not upon moving an egg to the Hatchery.

  1. Other Dragons include all Normally-Breedable Dragons that share the specified breeding time with the exception of Dragons with guaranteed combinations and Base Dragons. Dragons with breeding times over 18 hours non-VIP are not shown, as obtaining them will award the maximum of 600 Heavenly Eggs Icon.png within the highest level. They take longer to breed, but yield the same amount of Heavenly Eggs Icon.png as shorter options, making them a less efficient alternative.

Hidden Egg Shrine[edit | edit source]

Hidden Egg Shrine.png

This mysterious shrine reveals even the most cleverly Hidden Eggs on your islands.

The Hidden Egg Shrine is a building introduced in Update 2.8 in this event that generates Heavenly Eggs at a rate of 10 per hour and it can hold a maximum of 240 Heavenly Eggs. The building gives an additional 100 eggs when purchased. For easier collection, a Yellow-Bordered Heavenly Eggs Icon.png icon appears above the building to indicate it has accumulated at least 30% of its capacity, while the Green-Bordered Heavenly Eggs Icon.png appears when the shrine is at 100% capacity. Otherwise, Heavenly Eggs can be collected by pressing the Collect Gold Button.png button after the building is selected or by pressing the Collect Button.png from the information screen that appears through the Information Button 2.png option.

This building costs 1.99 USD, it is built instantly, yields no experience points and it has a size of 2x2 squares. It can not be sold, but it can be stored in the inventory Inventory Icon.png. Only one Hidden Egg Shrine can be purchased.

It is only functional during the aforementioned event and it becomes a regular decoration once the event is over. Once it becomes a decoration, it still can not be sold and can only be stored in the inventory. Selecting it brings up an additional option Information Button 2.png that when pressed brings up a small description of the Shrine.
