Battle Energy

From Dragon Mania Legends Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Battle Energy is the driving force needed to engage in fights on the Campaign Map and in the Dragon League. Energy is consumed whenever a battle commences and must regenerate on its own over a period of rest or be recovered through other means. Usage and recovery of Battle Energy will differ depending upon where it is being used.

Portal Energy[edit | edit source]

The energy used on the Campaign Map is called Portal Energy Portal Energy Bolt.png. Portal Energy regenerates automatically at a rate of one unit every 25 minutes (up to the maximum base amount). It can also be recovered through the use of Portal Gems (at the cost of one Portal Gem per energy), through Gems (at the cost of 3 Gems per energy), and through leveling up or upgrading the Ancient Portal. All methods fully replenish the energy and there is no option of choosing the amount of energy desired for replenishing when using Gems or Portal Gems. The Portal Energy can be refilled three different ways: by pressing the Inventory Icon.png button in the right hand-side of the screen then the Use Button.png button under the Portal Gem(s), by pressing the Extra Button.png button while on the Campaign Map, and by trying to engage a battle without any energy left, which will bring up the refill screen from where the energy can be refilled either with Portal Gems or Gems.

The base amount of energy is determined by the level of the Ancient Portal, the initial amount being three while the maximum is nine. VIP players receive additional energy to their base amount. VIP levels 1-9 receive two energy units, VIP levels 10-18 receive three energy units and VIP levels 19-20 receive four energy units, thus the player can have a maximum of thirteen energy units. It costs one unit of energy to engage a battle in Normal Mode and two units of energy for a battle in Heroic Mode. In addition to being used to start battles, players can also opt to hire a friend's Dragon to aid in battles.

Hiring Costs[edit | edit source]

The Portal Energy cost that is needed to hire Dragons from friends before going into a battle depends on the level of the hired Dragon. To engage in battle with a hired Dragon, the player will need the amount of energy needed to hire the Dragon plus the amount of energy needed to commence the battle (one in Normal Mode and two in Heroic Mode).

Level Range Energy Cost
1-5 1
6-11 2
12-15 3
16-20 4
21-29 5
30-35 6
36-70 7
71-80 9

Arena Energy[edit | edit source]

The energy used in the Dragon League is called Arena Energy Arena Energy Bolt.png and it will automatically regenerate at a rate of one every 40 minutes up to the maximum base amount. It can also be recovered through Arena Gems (at the cost of one Arena Gem per energy), through Gems (at the cost of 3 Gems per energy) or through leveling up. All methods fully replenish the energy and there is no option of choosing the amount of energy desired for replenishing when using Gems or Arena Gems. The Arena Energy can be refilled three different ways: by pressing the Inventory Icon.png button in the right hand-side of the screen then the Use Button.png button under the Arena Gem(s), by pressing the Extra Button.png button in the main screen of the Dragon League, and by trying to engage a battle without any energy left, which will bring up the refill screen from where the energy can be refilled either with Arena Gems or Gems.

The base amount of energy is four. There is no way to increase the maximum base amount of Arena Energy other than by purchasing VIP Status. VIP levels 1-9 receive two energy units, VIP levels 10-18 receive three energy units and VIP levels 19-20 receive four energy units, thus the player can have a maximum of ten energy units. Fighting in the Dragon League requires one energy for a regular battle and two energy for a focused attack. A focused attack temporarily enhances all of the player's Dragons' current Health by 50% for that battle.
